What we write
We value underwriters’ expertise. We believe the scarce resource in the market is talented underwriters. When we connect with such a team, we listen and learn about their business and the opportunities they see in their market.
We do not have an underwriting appetite as a traditional insurer might. We prefer to support low severity commercial portfolios with little natural catastrophe exposure.

We started by supporting specialty underwriters with a unique Membership that spanned their data, capital, and operational needs. That member-centric obsession and transparency has ruffled some feathers — but is also quickly becoming the backbone for a new approach to transacting insurance.
